About This Empowerment Club Blogging
In 2011 we started working with 20 girls at St Juliet Primary in the pilot project of our EmpowerNet Club Program. Girls are split into 5 blogging groups of 4 students. They blog and tweet about issues centering on self-worth, self-esteem and self- awareness. THe clubs at St Juliet are run by field officer, Amos Ireri who had the following to say about the school: “ For the two years we have been working at St Juliet, the management has always ensured we have a smooth empowerment session. The management has always showed their full cooperation for the benefit of the girls. They always have the interest of the girls fast and also provided us all the documents we needed on time. The girls in these school have been passionate about our new EmpowerNet Clubs and their future success. They would even show up for Saturday sessions whenever they are free.”
