The Joy of being an empowernet facilitator:

Imagine having a class of 20 girls all eager to listen to your opinion on different life issues, imagine a class where you engage the girls to speak about real issues that are affecting them positively or negatively. Envision how these teenagers talk from the deep of their hearts, things that they cannot even share with their friends, teachers or even with their parents. Imagine some of the sensitive questions they ask and how the question is thrown at every corner and hear different opinions.

Imagine how these girls are creative that they give very wise opinions on different aspects in life. Imagine one girl at the Centre of a class starting with a sentence with “I think you should or should not”. Imagine a class where everyone is equal, there is no teacher, prefect, choppies (those who think are clever than others), where there is no a wrong answer, all opinions are taken into consideration and everyone is considered special.

This is what is like to be a facilitator and this is what it takes to make an interesting empowernet club. This makes my students happy, open, and active of which makes me a joyful empowernet facilitator.
